The Dramacast
The Dramacast is an ongoing podcast project in which I try to make dramaturgy as accessible as possible. So far, I have five episodes covering Long Day's Journey Into Night by Eugene O'Neill. I have plans to continue expanding The Dramacast, and I am currently working on a series on Elephant's Graveyard by George Brant

Here is all of the background research that I conducted for Long Day's Journey Into Night in a more traditional format.
Dramaturgy Quick Sheets
Anastasia
I also served as the Dramaturg for Carousel Community Theatre's Anastasia. This entailed a weekly quick-sheet, which was sent out to the cast, along with answering historical questions throughout the rehearsal process. I coincided my quick-sheet topics with the timeline of both our rehearsal schedule and the Russian Revolution. The biggest challenge with this project was that I had to edit down much of my work to keep it a short read for our incredibly busy cast, but I overcame this challenge by taking on a weekly newspaper format to keep the information both brief and impactful. I also took on creating some slides for our publicity team to post on social media to get our community engaged with the story.

Completed Dramaturgy Sites
My philosophy regarding dramaturgy is that it should be for everyone, meaning it should be as accessible and palatable as possible. Compiling my research into websites, podcasts, and other interactive activities not only engages the members of the production but also makes the information open to the audience. Theatre is collaborative, and by making dramaturgy accessible and fun it opens more doors for meaningful connections, discussions, and actions.
